COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT
A downloadable game
HEY! Where do you think you're going?! Give us back our eggs!
Welcome to COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT, A 3D-platformer focused on speed and momentum! After a fleet of UFOs crash the Egg Festival and abduct all the eggs, the Prince of Penguin Town sets out on a journey to save every last one. Slide your way through various stages, kick alien butt, and embark on an intergalactic rescue mission.
In this demo (in which development may or may not continue), play through 2 select stages and locate the lost eggs!

Controls
COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT is intended to be played with either an Xbox controller or a Nintendo Switch controller (You may try with any other gamepad, but I cannot guarantee that button glyphs will match up or if it will even work at all).
Note: This game does not support keyboard and mouse input.
Further Information About This Game
COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT was my submission for my final major assignment during my third year at university. We worked on the game for most of the school year and had little to no restrictions on what we could make. Unlike the two assignments before this one, this project was completely solo and therefore I created all assets, models and animations.
This game is by far the most difficult project I worked on during my time at university. The scale of the project was extremely overblown, the development was filled with setbacks, and it was my first time fully working in 3D. However, despite all the issues, cut content, and stress, I think it turned out quite nicely in the end. A little rough around the edges, but a worthy send-off to my time at university.

UPDATE | UAL Game Showcase & Nintendo Switch Support
To celebrate the end our course at the University of the Arts: London, a game show was held where all the students' games would be open for the public to play. At this event COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT was show off and playable for everyone. Players who could make it to the win screen at the end of level 2 would even win a Penguin for themselves (a popular British chocolate)!
At this event the game was also playable on the Nintendo Switch. Before the event, thanks to the help of my professor, I was able to add native Nintendo Switch support! Even though it's not actually on the Nintendo Switch publicly and only on the dev Switch I had access to, having it on a Nintendo console at all is a dream come true. I hope one day a game I work on could be sold on consoles for everyone to play.
You can find my game, and all the other great student projects at this link!

UPDATE | COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT Prince Keychains
Thanks to the wonderful Skenat, I had some custom-made Prince keychains produced! Featuring the iconic penguin himself, along with a precious egg and some star charms to represent the intergalactic adventure he's been on, the Prince of Penguin Town can now accompany you on your daily adventures too!
*Unfortunately, we could only make 10 of these keychains, and they are sadly not for sale*

UPDATE | Aesthetica Short Film Festival
To my surprise, COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT has been selected to be shown at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York, United Kingdom from the 6-10th of November!
The festival is a showcase of creative productions of upcoming creators, and it is held yearly in the UK. They've recently added a game section to their shows and somehow, COSMIC PENGUIN PURSUIT was chosen! I am honoured!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to go and accompany the game during its showcase as I have since moved very far away to a different country to pursue my career in game design, however my professors from my time at the University of the Arts: London, will be there to support the game. If you go, let me know in the comments!
My professor told me that he'll send me some photos from the event, so when I receive them, I'll post them here as an update!
